GBC Television steps in to rescue the filming of Maspalomas Gay Pride's Charity DVDs

On the afternoon of Thursday 8th May at 4pm GBC Television UK Ltd - whilst filming the 6th in the continuing saga of "Holiday in Gran Canaria Films" - was asked to step in at the eleventh hour to film the Thursday, Friday and Saturday Main Stage shows in the Yumbo Centre in Gran Canaria and the carnival / procession on the Saturday afternoon.

The DVD's that will be released in the next few weeks form a large part of the fundraising efforts by G.L.A.Y - The Gay and Lesbian Association of the Yumbo - and due to unforseen circumstances the plans to film this years concerts had fallen through. We were approached by Holger Haerich - owner of Pub Nestor - and asked if we would step in to fill this important gap in the fundraising efforts.

GBC Television was more than proud to be asked to officially film this year's events - and hope to be asked back to film the official fundraising DVDs for Gran Canaria Pride 2009.

Hi, This is David Searle, one of the performers in the opening night hiv/aids benefit concert of Pride Maspalomas. I was just wondering how the production of this years events are going, and could you please let me know when the DVD’s are available.   Glad you guys stepped in and filmed the event, otherwise there’d be no record of this years pride. You might have gathered from my videos that they are mainly of my partner Scott (Dean) and Drag With No Name the same person - lol.

Just out of interest, do you plan to have Scott's performance of "Bring him Home" from the Thursday night included on the pride DVD? If not would you be able to do us a copy of that and the 3 guys together which was "Umbrella" with Scott Dean, Keith George & Jamie Watson.

So what was probably meant to be a holiday for you turned into work, lol. Well along with us and the pride committee and all the people who attended we would like to thank you for stepping in and filming what is a fantastic week. well done.
